WILDLIFE
FILMMAKER
Specialising in gimbal and long lens cinematography

Hi, I'm Jack, an award-winning wildlife filmmaker and cinematographer based in Vienna, Austria. I specialise in gimbal and long lens cinematography for Natural History productions.
My cinematography work often focuses on urban wildlife and in 2022, I won the Jackson Wild Cinematography award for my film ‘Beavers About Town’. More recently I worked as the DOP for ORF Universum’s ‘Wild Hollywood’; and cinematographer for NHK’s ‘Darwin’s Amazing Animals’ following a threatened species over the course of 6 months in Vienna.
I hold an EU drone licence and own and operate a RED V-RAPTOR, RED KOMODO, Nikon ZR and FX3 as well as a range of lenses, gimbals, support and specialist rigging.
Although I love telling the stories of urban wildlife, I am equally happy working in remote areas. Filming independently in the field or as part of a larger crew.

Recent Work
In 2026, I’ve been working across a wide range of projects. From editing an ORF Universum documentary to filming wildlife for NHK, documenting the reintroduction of wild horses into Kazakhstan’s Golden Steppe and photographing the life saving work of fawn rescuers in Tyrol. For me, a priority in every story I work on, is to connect people with the natural world that surrounds them.
